Presidents' Day open house
BOWLING GREEN, O.— Bowling Green State University's 13th annual Presidents' Day open house will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18.
More than 2,000 prospective students and 5,000 of their friends and family members are expected to attend this year, according to Gary Swegan, assistant vice provost and director of admissions at BGSU. About 15 percent are expected to be out of state visitors.
Visitors may attend several sessions throughout the day including presentations on first year programs, residence life information, the University Honors Program, financial aid information and “Myths and Legends of Finding My Major.”
Financial aid sessions, which are always popular, will be held at noon and 1 p.m.
Visitors are invited to attend open houses in academic departments and residence halls from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and visit classes throughout the day. A 45-minute walking tour of campus is also available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Swegan said he hopes prospective students take away “the flavor and difference that is BGSU and gather the information they are looking for to make an enrollment decision.”
Reservations to attend can be made online at www.bgsu.edu or by calling BGSU's admissions office at 419-372-BGSU or toll free at 1-866-CHOOSEBGSU.
