Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Future

In February 2017, BGSU celebrated 50 years of Ice Arena memories while ushering in a new era with the naming of the Slater Family Ice Arena.

Research that Can Change the World

Light’s impact can be felt everywhere. During the past century, light’s role in the fields of physics, chemistry and biology has expanded to include emerging fields such as environmental engineering, agriculture, materials science and biomedicine, according to Dr. Malcolm D.E. Forbes, director of the BGSU Center for Photochemical Sciences.

Telling Our Story

Students come to BGSU from all over Ohio and beyond. They come from small towns, suburbs and sprawling cities. They hail from Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Toledo and Dayton. They travel from New York and California and everywhere in between. They come to BGSU to “belong, stand out and go far.” They come to become a part of something bigger than themselves. At Bowling Green, students are never lost in a crowd. They’re fully supported, connected and engaged.

Portraits of Philanthropy

Dr. Angela Falter Thomas’ students are at the heart of everything she does. So it’s only appropriate that a student lounge recently named in her honor is located in the heart of BGSU’s Education Building, where she’s been a faculty member in the Middle Childhood Education and Graduate Reading programs for the last eight years.
