Many certificates are available for the Academic Year students. Stay for a year – earn an official certificate.
Certificate Programs are available for students enrolled for a full academic year. Requirement: You must take, 6 credits each semester (1 seminar) in the specific study direction. When you successfully finish 12 credits – you earn the certificate.
BGSU Certificate - Intercultural Communication Certificate
The Certificate is essential in every specialized field and in many work contexts. The program provides students with essential and up-to-date knowledge in topics of intercultural communication.
Whether you aim to:
- work in the HR or D&I department of a global company and/or international organization and want to get better at handling (cultural) diversity
- learn how to interact and act in an inclusive manner
- get involved in refugee work or in initiatives for migrants and immigrants
University of Salzburg Certificates:
The “Climate Change and Sustainability” supplemental program allows students of all majors to engage in an in-depth and critical examination of the climate crisis, while learning about various solutions from holistic and scientifically sound points of view. The main goal of this program is to provide students with an interdisciplinary knowledge of the basics as well as an overview of the various approaches represented at PLUS.
This particular range of courses is aimed at all students who have an interest in art and culture at Paris Lodron University and the Mozarteum. The goal of this program is to inspire an interest in the initiation and development of independent projects within the sectors of arts and culture as well as equip students with the necessary skills to implement these initiatives. These skills will enable students to mediate for the arts in artistic, cultural and educational contexts.
The “Digital Media” supplemental program and the “Digital Media” specialization provide students with the opportunity to acquire concrete skills in the creation of content as well as obtain critical experience with digital media. The content covers a wide range of topics including but not limited to digital photography, digital audio- and video technology, the creation of digital content for social media as well as voice and speech training for recorded and live presentations.
The "European Union Studies (EUS)“ is primarily aimed at bachelor students studying political science, law and economics. The program offers students the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge about the European Union using an interdisciplinary approach. However, this program is also available to students from other majors who have an interest in the European Union and the core disciplines of European Union Studies.
The Global Studies supplemental study program centers on current issues in globalization and their ecological effects as well as political, social, cultural and religious trends. This program is aimed at all students looking to gain knowledge and skills in the field of globalization as well as develop an interdisciplinary perspective on the phenomenon that is the globalized world.
This program is aimed at all students who would like to acquire skills in the field of migration research. Currently specific issues in migration research are receiving attention in numerous scientific disciplines. With that, the combination of these courses offer students the opportunity to complete additional interdisciplinary training in this highly relevant socio-political field.
The study of poverty and social exclusion is paradigmatic for socially conscious and responsible science. It demands a large amount of critical research on knowledge production, the power of discourse and the value of education, which is why it is part of the universities self-reflection.
This supplemental program deals with the history, culture, religion, philosophy, languages, literature and the arts of the Middle Ages and the early modern period.
