BGSU Northwest Ohio Science Olympiad

BGSU has proudly hosted the Northwest Ohio Regional Science Olympiad since 2015.  The competition features 46 events, 23 in each division: high school and junior high/middle school. These events cover a wide range of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, geology, physics, engineering, and the nature of science. Each year approximately 400 students vie for individual event awards, and the top teams move on to the Ohio State Science Olympiad.

The 2025 Northwest Ohio Regional will be Saturday March 15, 2025. Registration is offiicially closed. We will be using the scilympiad platform for submitting forms, scheduling some events, and scoring on tournament day.

Registration on the Scilympiad webpage is now open and should be completed by February 1st. Instructions were sent to head coaches for teams registered with the state office.
