How have internships, networking events, or real-world projects shaped your college experience?
Internships shaped my college experience by allowing me to see how the work I put in in the classroom helps me excel once I get to my job. They also helped me truly know what I liked and didn’t like in a job, so I was confident in my decision on my post-grad job.
Jordan Barnes
Supply Chain Management
After graduation, Jordan will join Owens Corning's 3-year development program.
How have internships, networking events, or real-world projects shaped your college experience?
Internships and networking events have shaped my college experience by providing opportunities to engage in the professional world beyond the classroom. Real-world scenarios have shown me the practical application of concepts and the gap between theory and real-life challenges. Overall, I'm grateful for the combination of classroom learning and real-world experiences, as both have fueled my personal and professional growth the most.
Robert Callaway Jr.
Specialization: Management
After graduation, Robert will join JPMorgan Chase as a corporate analyst.
What advice do you have for other business students to get the most out of their time at BGSU?
I would advise any student to make the most of the College of Business to get involved. Find 1-3 student organizations you are passionate about and give them your all.
Luke Konecny
Specialization: Accounting
After graduation, Luke will begin an internship with William Vaughan Company in January and return to Bowling Green State University in the fall to pursue a Master of Accountancy.
Which clubs or organizations were most impactful for you?
The club that has had the most impact on me is Beta Alpha Psi. It is an excellent group of like-minded individuals who are mostly accounting peers. This club looks great on resumes for accounting students.
