Career Services

BGSU Firelands

Megan M. Zahler, Ed.D., coordinator

Career Services provides educational and career counseling and information to students, alumni and community members. Individual appointments are available, and a career planning class, UNIV 1290, is offered Fall and Spring semesters. A wide variety of career-related resources can be accessed through the Career Services web page on the College web site at www.firelands.bgsu.edu/career-services.html. Career Services offers two on line career interest inventories: the Strong Interest Inventory, which can be accessed through the Career Services office, and FOCUS, which is available to students through the web portal.

Career Services offers job search coaching, resume review, and information on effective interviewing for students, alumni and community members, as well as job search class, UNIV 1300. The office also offers resume referrals, sponsors a job fair each November, and posts job openings on jobs boards located in the West building, and on the University job and resume database, BGSU WorkNet.
