College Alumni Awards

The BGSU College Alumni Awards recognize individuals who personify the University’s tradition as an institution of excellence. Outstanding College Alumni are chosen annually to represent each of the University's colleges, highlighting the diverse disciplines of a comprehensive university. Through outstanding achievements and civic, cultural, and charitable contributions, these individuals bring honor to Bowling Green State University, their respective colleges, the Alumni Association, and thousands of graduates the Association represents.

Recipient Selection Criteria

• Must have a degree from Bowling Green State University, or have completed more than 60 hours of coursework at BGSU
• Must have provided exceptional leadership or innovation in their profession or community

The Selection Process & Induction

Individuals, staff, faculty, student alumni chapters, and constituent associations may make nominations. Nominations must be submitted online using the nomination form below. Additional materials such as a biographical sketch, curriculum vitae, newspaper clippings or other supporting documentation may be submitted as well. Letters of support are highly encouraged.

Nomination forms may be submitted at any time; however they must be completed in their entirety and be received in the BGSU Alumni Association office by Wednesday, November 28, 2018.

The decision of the selection committee will be guided by the materials submitted by the nominator within the stated guidelines.

The College Alumni Awards Program will be held April 13, 2019, at the Mileti Alumni Center on the BGSU campus.  The recipients must agree to be present for the presentation and the person(s) responsible for making the nomination will be invited to attend the presentation.
