Business Administration: Applied Business Economics

The applied business economics specialization within the business administration bachelor’s degree program at BGSU equips students with the tools to understand, analyze and address real-world economic issues.

Applied business economics focuses on the practical use of economic theory and the analysis of data to make better business decisions and solve complex problems in society.  

Students generally choose the applied business economics specialization because they want to combine economics with another business specialization or discipline, such as public policy or global studies. 

The data analysis, research and decision-making skills our students learn in the applied business economics specialization complement many of our 11 other business specializations. They are relevant to nearly any profession in business, government and nonprofits.

Applied economics majors take core business courses required for the BSBA. You also select a complementary area of study to combine with economics.
