Hey Falcon! Fly into your future
We encourage you to take our advice as you design your path to academic success. Falcons who take 15 credit hours save time AND money. If you need more convincing, here’s what you should know:
Graduate on time
Most bachelor’s degree programs require about 120 credit hours. By enrolling in at least 15 credit hours each semester, you can evenly space out your credits within four years and avoid overloading your schedule as you advance in your class standing. Simplify your planning with the easy-to-use tools in the degree audit suite. The Schedule Planner is a great tool for creating your own academic map for each semester.
Take Advantage of the Falcon Tuition Guarantee
The Falcon Tuition Guarantee locks in your tuition and fees, housing, meal plan and out-of-state costs for 12 consecutive semesters for undergraduate students. From the first bill to the last, you know from the start what your charges will be. This makes it easy to budget and plan for the next four years. Make sure you are taking enough credits to maximize progress.
Benefit from Advancing
Falcons who maintain 15 credit hours per semester will earn their degree on schedule and advance to the next class standing each year, allowing them benefits such as earlier class registration and access to more student housing options.
Don’t forget to talk with your advisor to map out your graduation plan, clarify requirements and understand your career path and opportunities! Your Student Success Team can provide guidance and connect you with the support you need.
Balance Your School and Personal Life
While Optimizing Your Academic Focus
While 12 credit hours is the minimum requirement to be considered a full-time student, your graduation timeline may take longer. 15 credit hours are recommended to maintain a good school-life balance, which equals around 5-6 classes. This gives enough time to study and complete assignments, participate in extracurriculars, and relax!
