Comprised of two distinct disciplines and housed in the renowned Wolfe Center for the Arts, we foster the development of the scholar-artist-citizen, through both practical and inquiry-based learning.

BGSU Students Meet with Academy Award-Winning Filmmaker Dustin Lance Black
As part of the 2022 Edwin H. Simmons Creative Minds Series, BGSU welcomed Academy Award-winning filmmaker, writer and social activist Dustin Lance Black for a keynote event. Additionally, Black met with BGSU students for workshops focused on screenwriting, activism and art.

Class of 2022 graduate Jordan Briggs shares how he discovered his passion for filmmaking, the opportunities he had at BGSU, and what he hopes to accomplish in the future.
As conservation storytellers, BGSU alumni create impact through their global wildlife films
Bowling Green State University alumni Justin Grubb ‘14 and Alex Goetz ‘13 travel the world together, filming wildlife in some of the most serene places on Earth — chronicling environmental battles in local communities and shepherding conservation efforts globally.
Coca-Cola Refreshing Films Semi-Finalist
Film production students Izzy Cain and Cori Abele’s short concept Transported has been selected as a semi-finalist for the annual Coca-Cola Refreshing Films program. The CCRF program offers students at partnered universities, from across the US and Canada, a chance to pitch a commercialized film (branded content), receive feedback from a professional panel, with finalists having a chance to produce the idea through the CCRF with guidance from industry professionals. Ultimately, the final winner will screen at all Coca-Cola partnered movie theaters across the US and Canada. This year there were 900 total entries with only 15 teams selected as semi-finalists.
