Interactive Media
Visual Communication Technology students can choose to focus on interactive media, a rapidly evolving field that includes the design, development, and assessment of digital interfaces, including web, mobile, augmented reality, and virtual reality. All VCT students take an introductory course in web design and Internet technologies, focusing on usability and accessibility. As students progress through the interactive media courses, they learn advanced concepts and applications for digital media production. Courses in user experience design, AR/VR, and user interface prepare students for exciting careers in developing software, websites, and mobile experiences. Students who choose the interactive multimedia specialization frequently supplement their coursework with classes in computer science.

Empathy Diagrams and Journey Maps
Journey maps help us to understand the user's relationship with a product, service, or brand over time. They can be made to represent various levels of detail depending on our goals. Journey maps help UX designers identify pain points so that might explore opportunities to mitigate them and improve the overall user experience.
