PROFESSIONAL TRAVEL FUNDS

Tenured and tenure-track faculty are expected to present their research at academic and professional conferences at local, regional, national, or international venues. The College supports travel expenses for these conferences and other professional development purposes through the funds allocated to the department operating budget. Each department will have a written policy describing how department funds are to be allocated among the department faculty. The Dean’s office will consider written requests for additional funding for special circumstances.

Faculty travelling abroad for an extended period (i.e. not just for a conference) may apply for funding from College endowed funds, such as Haskin and Misamore Funds.

The Faculty Research Incentive Program can also be used to support travel. The program is tied to faculty research publications. For more details, please refer to Faculty Research Incentive Program.
