Beta Alpha Psi Recognized as Superior Chapter for 27th Consecutive Year

The Schmidthorst College of Business at Bowling Green State University is proud to announce that the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, the International Honor Organization for Financial Information Professionals, has received international recognition as a Superior Chapter for the 2021 – 2022 academic year.

To achieve Superior Chapter, a chapter must hold a variety of service and professional events for its members. The chapter must also complete a series of reaching out activities, including participation in the national meetings and professional seminars.

The Alpha Upsilon Chapter hosts weekly meetings with accounting professionals from a wide range of industries, including those in public accounting and some local corporations.  The chapter also hosts Meet the Firms, the annual on-campus recruiting event for accounting majors. Member participation has enabled the organization’s success. Because of this, the Alpha Upsilon Chapter has exceeded the national requirements of Beta Alpha Psi and has excelled in the areas of academics, professionalism, and leadership.

The chapter was able to achieve this feat last academic year under the guidance of Advisor Alisa Suelzer, as well as President Allison Mishka. This marks the 42nd year that the Alpha Upsilon chapter of Beta Alpha Psi has been able to achieve Superior Chapter.
