Message from the Dean
Welcome to Bowling Green State University's College of Technology, Architecture, and Applied Engineering! We are delighted to have you join our dynamic and innovative community.
Our college, established in 1985, has grown into a leader in experiential and discovery-based learning. We offer twelve undergraduate and nine graduate programs across three schools: the School of the Built Environment, the School of Aviation, and the School of Engineering, each committed to providing top-tier education and hands-on learning experiences.
The School of the Built Environment, the only one of its kind in Ohio, offers programs in Architecture and Construction Management. Our Bachelor of Science in Construction Management is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), and our Master of Architecture is accredited by the National Architectural Accreditation Board (NAAB). These programs, housed in the cutting-edge Kokosing Hall, prepare graduates for the 21st-century workforce.
Our School of Aviation has seen exponential growth and houses Ohio’s largest flight program. With a unique partnership with the Bowling Green Flight Center and an on-compass airport, our students receive unparalleled training in flight technology and aviation management. This partnership has resulted in modern facilities and a comprehensive educational experience, making our program one of the best in the country. Both specializations in our Aviation Studies program are accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI), and we are an FAA-approved Part 141 flight school.
Launched in 2023, the School of Engineering blends traditional engineering with innovative technology. Our newly approved degrees in Robotics Engineering, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, and Electronic and Computer Engineering are designed to meet the highest educational standards and industry demands. Additionally, our programs in Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering Technology, and Quality Systems (online) are accredited by ABET-ETAC. The school also offers applied technology programs in Visual Communication Technology and Management and Technology (online) accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). The school offers a Master of Technology Management specializing in Engineering Technology (in person) or Quality Systems (available online), a Master of Education in Instructional Design and Technology (online) and a Master of Science in Logistics Systems Engineering (available online).
A cornerstone of our college is the nationally accredited Cooperative Education Program (Co-op), which has connected students with over 5,000 companies for more than 50 years. Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Cooperative Education (ACCE), this program provides invaluable real-world work experiences, ensuring our graduates are well-prepared and well-connected in their professional fields.
As a student at the College of Technology, Architecture, and Applied Engineering, you will have the opportunity to deeply engage in your studies, participate in a wide array of extracurricular activities, and build strong relationships with your peers and faculty. Our dedicated team is here to support and guide you, ensuring you have the resources and encouragement needed to succeed.
We invite you to explore all that our college has to offer and take full advantage of the opportunities available to you. We are excited to have you here and look forward to seeing all that you will accomplish during your time with us.
