As we settle into the semester, I am encouraged by our campus response to COVID-19. We are truly in this together, and by complying with face covering and physical distancing guidelines, we are creating a safer campus community for all of us.
If you haven't yet downloaded the #CampusClear app, we encourage you to do so. This tool, and ultimately the daily self-wellness check it reminds us to do, will play a critical role in slowing the spread of COVID-19 on our campuses.
This week, we are also introducing our COVID-19 dashboard, which we will update and share weekly. We are also piloting a voluntary surveillance testing program, which allows us to test asymptomatic individuals. Our COVID-19 Response Team is working with contact tracers, and we encourage you to email health@bgsu.edu or call our COVID-19 Response Hotline with questions or to report a pending or positive COVID-19 test.
Most importantly, if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, please contact your health care provider or the Falcon Health Center immediately for further direction on your next steps. If we can slow down the spread of symptomatic individuals potentially exposing others, that is step number one in keeping our campuses as healthy as possible.
Be well,
