BGSU has historic ties to the Central Collegiate Hockey Association

Bowling Green State University will play in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association starting in the 2021-22 season. BGSU will join six other Div. I universities that previously announced they would explore the formation of a new hockey conference. That league will be re-established and branded as the storied CCHA.

Obituaries

Ryan D. Tweney, 76, professor emeritus of Psychology, died Feb. 7 in in Pahrump, Nevada. He taught at BGSU from 1970 to 2005. Tweney, who inspired and educated hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students at the University, was noted for his research on the physicists Michael Faraday and James Clerk Maxwell. A memorial will be held in Nevada in March.

College of Business Faculty accomplishments
Dr. Greg Rich, associate professor, recently received the BGSU Academic Advising and Mentoring Excellence Award. Rich was recognized for the many advising and mentoring activities he routinely performs. He organizes the BGSU Sales Competition and prepares sales talents for multiple external competitions, which are tremendous undertakings and invaluable to student success.

Dr. Dwayne Gremler, professor, received the Best Paper Award of the Advertising, Promotion, and Marketing Communications track for “Do Product Testing Programs Lead to More Favorable Online Reviews?” at the Winter 2020 AMA Academic Marketing Conference on Feb. 15.
