Rogers Report | BGSU
We are thrilled to be returning with the Rogers Report - our first since February 2020 - a monthly message highlighting the incredible work happening at Bowling Green State University.
In this edition, we are recapping our 100th Homecoming – one of the most memorable events in the University’s history. We hosted the first-ever Court Street block party, celebrated the 50 year anniversary of the Olympic race where Dave Wottle '73 won gold, dedicated the new Alumni Gateway, renewed the vows of hundreds of Falcon Flames in front of Prout Chapel, and saw a thrilling overtime win at the Doyt that ended with fireworks. It was wonderful to welcome back so many of our alumni and friends to share in such a remarkable weekend.
I hope you enjoy some of my favorite stories in this month's edition of the Rogers Report!
Regards,

This month on the Rogers Report:
Bowling Green State University's 100th Homecoming featured a variety of events that fostered reunions and created new memories for Falcons past and present. Let's recap this milestone occasion as we look back on our rich history, shared memories and plans to move forward in our mission to create public good at BGSU.
I'm so pleased to share that Bowling Green State University has been ranked among the top public universities in the nation for the quality of its undergraduate teaching, according to the 2022-23 Best Colleges rankings by U.S. News & World Report. This is another example of the impact of our world-class faculty, placing BGSU among the top 10 public universities in the U.S.
This fall, we announced two new schools - the School of Engineering and the School of Aviation - to enhance education opportunities for current and future BGSU students. The creation of the schools also allows us to respond directly to workforce needs in Ohio and beyond.
As one of the nation's largest producers of teachers, BGSU is positioned to address the teaching shortage issue facing districts of all shapes and sizes. The teacher shortage affects this next generation of students and we are approaching solutions from multiple angles, one of which is working directly with school districts.
