As November comes to a close, students are preparing for their final exams, and commencement is almost upon us!
Congratulations to BGSU Athletics and student organization We Are One Team (WA1T), the recipients of the NCAA and MOAA 2017 Award for Diversity and Inclusion. This month, more than 400 students, faculty, staff and community members gathered to participate in a Peace March sponsored by BG Not In Our Town. We are committed to our work as we embrace diversity and inclusion on campus and in the city of Bowling Green.
Congratulations to Dr. Douglas Neckers, McMaster Distinguished Research Professor Emeritus of Photochemcial Sciences and founder of the BGSU Center for
Photochemical Sciences, on receiving the 2016 Theodor Forster Prize. Neckers is only
the second American to be honored as a recipient of the prestigious award from the German Chemical Society.
It's basketball season! There are many opportunities to support the men's and women's teams both at the Stroh Center and while the teams compete on the road. Purchase
your tickets today!
This month, 10 individuals, including Morgan Lee '15, were sworn in as U.S. citizens by the Honorable James R. Knepp II '87. This special naturalization ceremony was held on the BGSU campus.
Special thanks to all Falcons who participated in Giving Tuesday. More than 230 alumni and friends, from across the nation, helped us raise $89,000. Your gift, no matter the size, transforms BGSU and changes the lives of our students.
Planning continues as we prepare for Bravo! BGSU! Join us for a memorable night to raise scholarship funds for students in the arts on April 1, 2017, in The Wolfe Center for the Arts.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I wanted to share my appreciation for being a part of the Falcon Family! This great University is a special place because of
alumni and friends like you. Look for a special message in your inbox next month in celebration of the holiday season!
Regards,
Mary Ellen Mazey, Ph.D.
