The fall semester is off to an outstanding start! BGSU welcomed more than 3,550 first-year students to the Falcon Family. For the third consecutive year,
we've enrolled the best academically prepared class in our University's history, and this year we also increased the incoming class enrollment by five percent.
From move-in and opening weekend activities to convocation, the Class of 2020 is ready for a great
year!
Just a few days ago, I delivered the annual State of the University address, which focused on transforming BGSU through collaboration. View our accomplishments and watch the full speech. I'm so proud of what we have accomplished together.
Earlier this month, 965 students received degrees at our summer commencement! Special thanks to our speaker Jim Dunlap for sharing his BGSU story, experience and life lessons. We also
enjoyed having our newest alumni share their favorite "Falcon Moments" with us.
BGSU continues its commitment to affordability. We want our students to receive a world-class education and we count on the support of alumni and friends to
pay it forward. Every day, I see the impact our faculty, staff and retirees have on this campus. Together, we have made a commitment to student success.
Throughout the last fiscal year, our faculty, staff and retirees contributed $756,874 to change
lives. Seventeen offices and areas had 100 percent participation in our Campus Campaign.
Homecoming
activities begin September 30. We're looking forward to welcoming back alumni and guests! Event schedules will be continually updated and registration is open. Join us for the celebration!
The BGSU Magazine was recently mailed to alumni and friends. Update your BGSU contact information if you did not receive it.
BGSU football recently made the
Associated Press list for top programs in history! Our team kicks off the season against Ohio State this weekend. More than 100,000 of our BGSU alumni live in the state of Ohio. Join me in cheering on our
Falcons!
