Welcome home to Bob Moosbrugger '94, recently named the
14th director of intercollegiate athletics! He will assume duties this summer as BGSU continues its commitment to success for our sports programs, student-athletes, community and fans. Read Bob's open letter as he prepares for his new role at his alma mater.
Register today for our new Alumni Summer College. Bowling Green is a great place to be in the summer and you are guaranteed to have a wonderful experience! The Golden Falcons, alumni who have graduated more
than 50 years ago, will also be honored that week.
This month, I got to share a special occasion with 2,287 students as we hosted four commencement ceremonies! Special thanks to our speakers Dean Bresciani '85, Jay Crawford '87, Holly Horn'83, D. Craig Rathbun '83 and our honorary
degree recipient Maribeth Rahe '70, '16 (Hon.) for their personal stories and life
lessons. Throughout the weekend, students shared their favorite "Falcon Moments" with us!
On May 17, more than 2,000 alumni and friends joined me for an interactive phone conversation about exciting developments at BGSU. I enjoyed hearing
directly from the Falcon Family. If you missed the conversation, listen to the recording today!
Congratulations to the six award recipients from the Undergraduate Symposium for Research and Scholarship! The winners were chosen among the 80 students who gave poster presentations and another 24 who gave oral presentations. Also honored was Andrew Gregory, Ph.D., of the School of Earth, Environment and Society, who received the Undergraduate Faculty Mentor of the Year Award!
Congratulations to Aliyah Gustafson for breaking a school shot put record and qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships!
Football season is months away. BGSU is hosting an excursion trip for our alumni and friends to cheer on the Falcons in Memphis, Tenn., on Sept. 23-25!
Several activities and packages are available.
As we end the academic year, I am so proud of everything that BGSU has accomplished. Our students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends continue to make a
difference, and this great University will always be here to support you!
Regards,
Mary Ellen Mazey, Ph.D.
