We are almost halfway through the spring semester, and there is so much great news about BGSU.

On Presidents' Day, about 1,000 prospective students and their families visited campus. Guests attended classes, toured the new and historic
facilities, and talked with faculty, current students and staff about the distinctive BG Experience. If you know any students who are interested in joining
the Falcon Family, please encourage them to connect with BG.

An important part of the college decision process for students and families is cost. With a ongoing commitment to affordability and accessibility, BGSU strives to
minimize the financial burden of higher education for students and families. A new scholarship program, "Bridge to BG," will help students to fund their
education and decrease loan debt. Please help BGSU by investing $1,000 in this initiative. Call University Advancement at 419-372-7668 or

We need to keep supporting our men's basketball and hockey teams as they continue to gain
national recognition for their winning seasons. With hockey ranked eleventh in national polls and basketball preparing for the post-season MAC tournament,
stay tuned for opportunities to cheer on these incredible Falcons. Women's gymnastics and swimming continue to find success this year.

You can connect to more than 172,000 alumni worldwide with more than 40 active alumni Regional Networks across the country and numerous special interest Affinity Groups. Get involved! You're an important member of the Falcon Family. |
Recently, we received a $1.1 million, four-year grant from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Center for Child Health and Human Development in support of the work of Dr. Karen Benjamin Guzzo and researchers across the nation. These experts
will study the causes and effects of unintended fertility with a focus on public policy that will strengthen families.

This spring, you have opportunities to experience everything that the University Arts community has to offer. In March, we will host the inaugural Bravo! BG event. To advance teaching in STEM disciplines, teachers will learn new ways to improve student learning and add excitement to class through grant support from the
Ohio Board of Regents to the
faculty in the Colleges of Education and Human Development and Arts and Sciences. BGSU faculty continue to impact education through innovative practices.
The University's reach across the community, region, nation and the world continues to grow. Thank you for sharing the journey with us.
Regards,
Mary Ellen Mazey, Ph.D.
