Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week continues this week at BGSU. Throughout the week look for green straws, and stickers on food delivered by the Starship robots, to further raise mental health awareness. Ongoing mental health awareness programs offered by BGSU include Move for Your Mood, Start the Conversation and other presentations and trainings from the Counseling Center and Wellness Connection.
On Thursday, the BGSU Counseling Center will hold an open house outside of their office at the College Park Building, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., where you can meet the staff and learn about their services. Also tomorrow, join us for Brighten the Night: Yoga and Remembrance for reflection and remembrance of those impacted by mental health. The 7 p.m. event will feature speakers followed by a gentle yoga class and loving-kindness meditation. The first 30 attendees will receive a free yoga mat.
Each member of our BGSU community, including our students, faculty, staff, parents and families, must work together to promote mental health and well-being and there are multiple resources available to provide support.
