In these unprecedented times, BGSU and the College of Business continue to make critical decisions to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus in the best interests of our students, faculty, staff and greater community based upon state and federal guidance. This is a rapidly evolving situation, and I am writing to share news on how we are adapting our teaching and learning efforts, rescheduling important college events and planning for the grand opening of the Robert W. and Patricia A. Maurer Center.
Our faculty and staff have been asked to rethink how they approach their service to our students and the University. I am very appreciative and proud of what we are seeing – staff across our college are coming together to support one another, which ultimately supports our students.
I encourage you to please visit the University's coronavirus website as this situation evolves. This is a very valuable resource for all of our readers. In addition, I ask all alumni and friends to please join me in considering a gift to our Student Emergency Fund.Your gift will help students with essential needs such as rent, utilities, technology and equipment, travel expenses to return home or even food. This aid will greatly help our students who are working hard to navigate the changes this pandemic brings and to stay on track to graduate.
We are in this together — your health and safety remain the University's top priority.

College of Business committed to student success
“During spring break, College of Business faculty moved all courses online,” said Raymond Braun, dean of the College of Business. “Our college is committed to student success and making sure students make appropriate progression toward their degree during this unprecedented time.”
In order to handle this transition better, the faculty held four sessions over video during spring break, discussing strategies and how to use different online programs, such as WebEx, to communicate with students.

College announces Fall 2020 College of Business Week
In lieu of our spring E-Week, many of the key activities will be moved to the College of Business Week planned for Wednesday, September 9th through Sunday, September 13th. The Grand Opening of the Robert W. and Patricia A. Maurer Center will be celebrated on September 12th.
