Student Appreciates Newfound Friends by Studying Abroad

Studying abroad was not what I expected! I never thought I was going to come back to the U.S. with friends from 18 different countries and 5 different states. With each friend came a different perspective and a different attitude toward everyday life. Even my new friends from Ohio, Florida, Kentucky, New Jersey, and Massachusetts have different perspectives than I had anticipated, and we live in the same country!

Through casual conversations with my new friends, I have learned just as much, if not more, outside the classroom as I did inside classroom. Studying abroad made me aware of how the decisions one country makes can affect several others due to increased globalization.
