College Honors Faculty and Staff with Awards

The College is proud to have such outstanding faculty and staff who are dedicated to student learning, to the College of Business, and to their fields of study. Each year faculty and staff are nominated for awards and the winners are announced at the Opening Day Luncheon.

Here are the awards and the faculty and staff members who were recognized for their accomplishments and presented their awards by College of Business Faculty Council Chair Dr. Jeff Meyer and Dean Ray Braun.

Marie Hodge Advising Award – This award honors a faculty or staff member who has demonstrated excellence in advising undergraduate students through their attitude, accessibility, knowledge of advising, and commitment to students and/or advising student organizations. Up to two people are selected for this award.

Ms. Karen Eboch – Department of Management

College of Business Faculty Service Award - This award is given to a faculty member who has provided exceptional service primarily to the College, departments, or profession.

Award recipient:         

Dr. Bill Sawaya, Department of Management

College of Business Alumni Undergraduate Teaching Award – A faculty member who has provided excellent undergraduate teaching in the College of Business Administration receives this honor.

Award recipient:         

Dr. Man Zhang, Department of Management

The Robert A. Patton Scholarly Achievement Award – It is presented annually to a College of Business faculty member in recognition of outstanding research accomplishments during the previous three-year period at BGSU.

Award recipient:

Dr. Dwayne Gremler, Department of Marketing

James A. Sullivan College of Business Staff Excellence Award – The purpose of the annual award is to recognize and reward a staff member for exceptional performance over the previous three-year period. This year it was a tie.
