Dr. Hartley selected for prestigious International Supply Chain Award
Our supply chain faculty continue to be recognized as some of the best in the world. Dr. Janet Hartley, management professor, has been selected for the 2017 Student Chapter Mentor Award presented by APICS, the Association for Supply Chain Management. The Student Chapter Mentor Award recognizes one individual globally who demonstrates superior leadership and exceptional contributions as a mentor to a student chapter.
Kathy Groat, district channel manager for APICS, said, "Her commitment to the BGSU student chapter, steadfast leadership in the APICS community and dedication to the Toledo Chapter merit this prestigious award." Dr. Hartley’s work has helped "to inspire many students to pursue APICS membership and volunteerism."
Dr. Hartley will be presented the prestigious award at the APICS International Conference in Texas.
This is not the first time Dr. Hartley or another management department member has been selected for this award. Dr. Hartley was honored with the Student Chapter Mentor Award in 2014. Dr. Amelia Carr, professor and chair of the Department of Management, received the award in 2012, retired management department administrative assistant Karen Williams earned the award in 2010, and Ms. Karen Eboch, senior lecturer in the management department, was selected in 2008.
