College presents faculty, staff awards

The college is proud to have outstanding faculty and staff who are dedicated to student learning, to the college and to their fields of study. Each year faculty and staff are nominated for awards and the winners are announced at the Opening Day Luncheon before the start of fall semester classes.

Here are the awards and the faculty and staff members who were recognized for their accomplishments and presented their awards by College of Business Faculty Council Chair Dr. Andy Garcia.

Marie Hodge Advising Award –honoring a faculty or staff member who has demonstrated excellence in advising undergraduate students through their attitude, accessibility, knowledge of advising, and commitment to students and/or advising student organizations. Up to two people are selected for this award. Recipients: Ms. Christine Seiler (Department of Marketing), Mr. Mearl Sutton (Department of Marketing)

College of Business Faculty Service Award – recognizing a faculty member who has provided exceptional service primarily to the college, departments or profession. Recipient: Mr. Kirk D. Kern - Department of Marketing, Director of the Hamilton Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership

College of Business Alumni Undergraduate Teaching Award – honoring a faculty member who has provided excellent undergraduate teaching in the college. Recipient: Dr. Jeff Meyer - Department of Marketing

The Robert A. Patton Scholarly Achievement Award – recognizing outstanding research accomplishments during the previous three-year period at the University. Recipient: Dr. Hokey Min, James R. Good Chair in Global Supply Chain Strategy, Department of Management

James A. Sullivan College of Business Staff Excellence Award –rewarding a staff member for exceptional performance over the previous three-year period. Recipient: Ms. Marsha Bostelman -Department of Marketing
