Top Finance Students Receive Awards

Kory Brown was recognized by the Finance Department as the Top Graduating Senior. Kory was the captain of the BGSU Varsity Baseball team for two years and he served as a mentor to freshmen baseball players.  Kory was a member of Chi Alpha Sigma the national college athlete honor society.

Kory earned the 2015 BGSU Junior Scholar-Athlete of the Year and the 2014 Muskegon Community College Student-Athlete of the Year.  He was also a National Junior College Athletic Association Academic All-American and he made the Dean’s List.

Mark Cooper was nominated by the Finance Department for the Karl Vogt Outstanding Senior Award.  Mark was the captain of BGSU’s Varsity Hockey team for 2 years and a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).  He guest coached for BGSU’s Youth Hockey team and he was a member of Chi Alpha Sigma the national college athlete honor society.

Mark earned other awards such as the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Offensive Player, Vito’s Pizza Player of the Week and WCHA Scholar Athlete.  Mark was also selected to the WCHA All-Academic team.
