Once admitted, students will receive an email with their next steps. This will include their personal BGSU ID# that will be used to set up a MyBGSU account online at: www.bgsu.edu/newaccount.
To register for classes, all students enrolling in a course on BGSU’s campus or online with BGSU must schedule an appointment to meet with their Academic Advisor. Schedule by calling 419-372-1537 or emailing ccplus@bgsu.edu.
Students enrolling in BGSU courses held at their high school will be registered through their high school. Students should first speak with their high school counselor if they are interested in taking BGSU courses at their high school.
Course placements are not required for admission to BGSU. However, some BGSU courses may require a placement assessment to determine the appropriate course level for each student. This generally applies to writing, math, or world languages. Discuss with your academic advisor if a course placement is needed.
CCP students coming to BGSU’s campus for courses must sign up for a parking permit to park on campus. Students can order their parking permit online using their MyBGSU account. Login to MyBGSU, click on “Parking” then click on “Purchase Permit.”
Public School Students: Initially the cost of the permit will be billed to the student’s BGSU Bursar’s account (don’t pay with a credit card!), and then it will be waiver from the account.
Self-pay, Homeschool, and Private School Students: Students are responsible for the cost of their parking permit.
All questions should be directed to the Parking and Traffic Office at 419-372-2776.
The BG1 Card is the official identification card for BGSU students, faculty, and staff. It provides access to events and campus facilities. It is recommended that CCP students obtain a BG1 Card if they are coming to BGSU’s campus for courses. Students interested in obtaining a BG1 card should visit the BG1 Card office website for instructions.
Students will need their student ID number and a primary form of identification. If students are 17 years old or younger and have never been issued a primary form of identification, they will need to have their parent or legal guardian complete "Parent/Guardian Statement of Identification for Minor Student" form and have the parent/legal guardian accompany them to the BG1 Card Service Office with their identification.
Public School Students: The charge for the first BG1 card is paid for by the CCP program. If students need a replacement, there is a $25 replacement fee.
Self-Pay, Homeschool, and Private School Students: Students are responsible for the cost of their BG1 card.
