Design a program of study that meets your needs
Choose one of three program start dates: January, May, or August. Because each course is offered at least two semesters every year, students can complete the program at a pace that works best for them—whether that means completing all courses in one year, enrolling in one course per semester, or taking most coursework during the summer months. Classes are delivered 100% online and there are no required class meeting times. Students who register for at least 4 credit hours per semester are eligible for federal financial aid.
Program information
Bowling Green State University offers an approved program of preparation aligned with Ohio Educator Licensure Program Standards for the TTW Endorsement. A Transition-to-Work Endorsement can be added to the following standard Ohio licenses or certificates:
- intervention specialist
- career-technical teaching
- professional pupil services
The TTW Endorsement is a highly valuable credential, required by many school districts for their transition specialists, job training coordinators, career assessment specialists, and others who coordinate or provide transition services. For school counselors, occupational therapists, social workers, school psychologists, and other pupil service professionals, earning the TTW Endorsement certifies that they have the knowledge and skills to support effective transitions for the students with disabilities they serve.
As a former Transition Coordinator for a local school district, I learned more than expected and was able to improve our district’s transition programming. Now as a State Support Team Consultant, I am able to use the knowledge and resources from these courses to assist and guide other districts in improving their transition programs.
Erin Curtis
State Support Team Consultant (Region 11)
Bowling Green State University's Transition-to-Work program not only equipped me with the tools and knowledge to become a successful Job Connections Coordinator, but also equipped me with the skills to begin introducing work-related responsibilities beginning at the elementary level.
Shannon Washburn
Intervention Specialist, Oregon City Schools
