Community Development & Program Evaluation
Capabilities
CRD provides a variety of program evaluation and assessment services. Program evaluation is often used, and in some cases mandated, to assess a program’s progress toward distinct targets, goals, and objectives. However, program evaluation services can also offer your organization an opportunity to participate in reflective analysis of programmatic structures, processes, policies, and culture. CRD offers external evaluation services as well as assistance in creating evaluation plans and training for organizations seeking to adopt internal monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement approaches. If you are interested in evaluation services, plans or training our staff can walk you through the process of determining what services best suit your needs. Our analysts specialize in a variety of evaluation techniques including, but not limited to:
- Process Evaluation
- Implementation Evaluation
- Objectives-based Evaluation
- Participatory Evaluation
- Outcomes/Impacts Assessment
- Goal-free Analysis
Our Projects
Assessing Implementation and Impacts of the Community Schools Model (TPS Hub Schools)
CRD has partnered with the United Way and Toledo Public Schools (TPS) to conduct a multi-phase program evaluation to assess the implementation and impacts of the Community Schools Model in TPS Hub Schools. Through the evaluation process the CRD team is assisting TPS and these partners in assessing the implementation of the model, building a collective understanding of Hubs capacity, and identifying areas for process improvement. Additionally, the CRD evaluation team is working with these partners to collaboratively develop a set of benchmarks, targets, and performance indicators for each Hub as well as a plan for ongoing monitoring and evaluation around these targets.
