Enrollment and Degree Verifications

Bowling Green State University has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as our agent to provide enrollment verifications and degree verifications.

Current students can access their enrollment verification through their MyBGSU portal or Student Center. If the enrollment verification is for the current semester, and it is requested after the end of the 2nd week, the verification can be accessed through the following steps.

  4. In the upper right hand corner, under Quick Links, click on Enrollment Verification.

  6. From the National Student Clearinghouse secure Student Self-Service Site, select whether it will be the current term or for all terms of enrollment and then select Obtain an enrollment certificate.

Future Enrollment Verification

Bowling Green State University considers registration for future semesters unofficial until the opening of classes. Therefore, we do not report enrollments to the National Student Clearinghouse until the first day of the semester's classes. Enrollment is typically available after the end of the 2nd week of classes for the current semester. If an enrollment verification is needed prior to it being reported to NSC, students can obtain a letter through their Student Center via the Enrollment Verification or printing a class schedule.

Graduation Invitation Letter for Visa Interview

When a student would like to invite friends and family from outside of the United States to visit for their commencement ceremony, they are required to obtain a visa to enter the country. To obtain the visa, the friends and family will need to schedule a visa interview and oftentimes, a letter is required from the individual living in the United States detailing the nature of their trip.
