CMA COVID Information
CMA COVID Protocols
Please refer to the BGSU COVID Response website for up-to-date information.
If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19
· You should wear a high-quality mask for 10 days and get tested on day 5.
· The CDC no longer recommends quarantining if you are exposed. This means that you can attend class as normal while wearing your mask.
If you test positive for COVID-19
· Report your positive test to BGSU and Wood County here.
· Isolate from others for at least 5 days.
· If you had mild or asymptomatic COVID-19 and are fever-free after 5 days from testing positive and other symptoms are improving, you can end isolation and wear a high-quality mask through day 10.
· If your fever or other symptoms persist, continue to isolate until they improve.
CMA ensemble rehearsals and lesson participation
· If you have been exposed (singers, pianists, strings, percussionists)
o Participate with masks on for the 10-day period (see above).
o No other restrictions are required.
· If you have been exposed (brass/woodwinds)
o Participate with a slitted or customized mask for 5 days from exposure.
After 5 days, get tested. If negative and no continuing symptoms, resume participation in ensembles and lessons, removing your mask to play and putting it back on when not playing for 5 additional days.
