STEP 1 | Get Started
If you are interested in studying abroad, you should start with our Get Started resources. It is important for you to read through all of the information and watch the recorded session or participate in a live session before committing to a BGSU education abroad program.
It is important for students and families also review the BGSU education abroad minor policy.
STEP 2 | Before you Go
Pre-departure preparation ensures that you have a successful, productive and safe experience abroad. Below are the tools that you need to prepare for your time abroad. Use the pre-departure handbook to get organized and visit the links to find out more.
STEP 3 | While Abroad
The “While Abroad” section of our site contains practical information on a variety of topics such as: managing your relationships while abroad, tips for personal health and safety and ideas for documenting your experience.
STEP 4 | When you Return
This resource will help you navigate some important administrative processes, such as credit transfer and registration. It also provides information on how to incorporate your study abroad experience into your academic and professional careers as well as your social life.
