BGSU celebrating transfer and commuter students on March 13
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Committed to student engagement and success, Bowling Green State University will celebrate transfer and commuter students all day on Wednesday, March 13, with special events and programming across campus.
Highlighting BGSU's ranking as the No. 1 university in Ohio for student experience, Transfer and Commuter Student Appreciation Day will feature events focused on academic success, health and well-being and learning community connectivity.
Some of the day's signature events will include:
- BGSU PAWS Team therapy dogs at the Radbill Center
- Appreciation brunch with the Office of the Dean of Students
- Free self-care kits and group fitness classes at the Student Recreation Center
- Commuter Student Network and Transfer Student Association networking in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union
"Transfer and commuter students are an important part of the BGSU learning community, and we are proud to celebrate their success and contributions," said Cecilia Castellano, vice president for enrollment management at BGSU. "As the No. 1 public university in the Midwest students say they would choose again, BGSU is committed to connecting with and supporting students through comprehensive opportunities and engaging programming like Transfer and Commuter Student Appreciation Day."
BGSU is currently accepting applications for summer term and Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters.
