BGSU celebrates return to live dance performance with Winter Dance Concert: 'BiG Moves' as part of 2022-23 Mainstage Season
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The Bowling Green State University Department of Theatre and Film presents the Winter Dance Concert: BiG Moves, as part of the 2022-23 Mainstage Season. Performances of BiG Moves will take place in the Thomas B. and Kathleen M. Donnell Theatre in the Wolfe Center for the Arts on the BGSU campus, Feb. 3-4 at 8 p.m.
BiG Moves features choreography by Colleen Murphy, Tammy Metz Starr and Adrienne Letner, as well as selected works from undergraduate dance students and guests Stephannie Gearhart, Kayleigh Hahn and Emily Ritchie. The concert celebrates a return to live dance performance and highlights versatility in the BGSU dance program, with tap, modern and contemporary dance on display.
BGSU Associate Teaching Professor Colleen Murphy directs the production. BiG Moves features lighting design by Associate Professor Steve Boone and sound design by Jason Walton. Technical direction is led by Daniel S. Mangan and costumes by Laurel Daman. The production is stage managed by undergraduate student Hailey Wright and assisted by Abigail Hart and Rowan Rozzi. Performers include Alejandro Alvarez, Justin Andrews, Rachel Bond, Ruby Brandon, Emma Brown, Alexa Burak, Payton Camera, Maria Fallouh, Stephannie Gearhart, Kayleigh Hahn, Kate Hans, Jenna Hanson, Leah Lattanzi, Madeline Lindow, Claire Oliver, Caroline Peek, Morgan Prachar, Emily Ritchie, Ella Sidder, Tammy Metz Starr, Morgan Ullrich, Corrianne Werning, Mckinley Witt, Regina Wolf and Sky Yang.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at bgsu.edu/the-arts/tickets. Tickets are $5 for students, $8 for seniors and $10 for adults. The box office opens one hour before performance times.
