In Brief: July 27
License plate recognition coming this fall
Bowling Green State University Parking Services has announced a more convenient way to park on campus: License Plate Recognition (LPR).
Starting Aug. 21, faculty, staff and students will no longer receive hangtags after registering and paying for their parking permit. LPR uses virtual permit numbers that are linked to the vehicle license plate registered via the MyBGSU Manage Parking Account. Faculty, staff and students now only need to log in to their parking account, purchase their permit and link their vehicle.
2017-18 permits will be available to purchase online beginning Aug. 5.
To register for your new parking registration, open MyBGSU, click “Manage Parking Account” on the left under “Misc. Services” and then click “Get Permits.” You will then follow prompts to register and pay for your permit.
More information about this convenient new process is available online
