Leontis invited to speak at European institute, Nanoscience Institute
Dr. Neocles Leontis, chemistry, was a guest speaker April 21 at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI) in Cambridge, UK, and on April 24 at the Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center at Denmark’s Aarhus University.
At the EBI, Leontis presented “Analyzing, Annotating and Linking RNA Data to Create Knowledge and Facilitate Research.” He also explored opportunities for cooperation and collaboration with some of the EBI group leaders. His visit was hosted by BGSU alumnus Anton Petrov ’12, who is a bioinformatician/Web developer at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory/European Bioinformatics Institute.
At Aarhus, he conducted a seminar on “RNA 3D Structure: Beyond Watson-Crick.”
Leontis is on sabbatical this year.
