CS Classes is a folder that is used in many computer science classes. It can be accessed from any computer connected to the BGSU on-campus network as indicated below.

Access from a Windows system in an instructional lab

From an instructional lab computer, it is only necessary to click on Start, then Programs, then CS Classes. If you are asked for a username and password, use bgsulabs for both username and password.

Access from a Windows system elsewhere on campus

  1. Double-click My Computer on the desktop.
  2. Type the following in the Address area: \\csfile.cs.bgsu.edu
  3. If this doesn't work, type this instead: \\129.1.64.66
  4. If it asks for a username and password, use bgsulabs for both username and password.
  5. Right click on the CS Classes folder and drag to desktop. Release mouse button and select Make Shortcut Here. This will give you a shortcut to CS Classes on your desktop.
  6. Double click CS Classes icon on your desktop to open it and find your instructor's folder.

Access from a campus Macintosh system (OS X only)

  1. Under the Go menu, click on Connect to Server.
  2. In the left pane, click CS. In the right pane, click csfile. Click the Connect button.
  3. Workgroup/domain should be CS, username should be bgsulabs, password should be bgsulabs. Click OK.
  4. When the system asks you to select a share, choose CS Classes and click OK. This will put a shortcut to CS Classes on your desktop.
  5. Double click the CS Classes icon on your desktop to open it and find your instructor's folder.
