Boost your fitness, wellness in 2018
Kick off the new year with a health kick! If you are interested in finding new ways to sustain or improve your physical health and allover wellness, look no further.
The spring 2018 semester has an abundance of resources, programs and classes that will give faculty, staff, students and retirees an opportunity to renew their commitment to health and wellness. Try something new — all classes are free through Jan. 14. View the full schedule.
Faculty and staff may take advantage of several free programs and opportunities, plus discounted Student Recreation Center membership and fitness passes, including an After 5 pass for classes from 5-6 p.m.
The BG Be Fit: Free Beginner Exercise Program is specifically designed to teach the basic techniques of regular aerobic, resistance, and flexibility training. Sessions are from 12:10-12:50 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays Jan. 16-April 27 in Eppler South Gym. Register online.
Yoga as You Are offers a short, midday break with low-impact, stress-relieving classes. Come as you are; registration is not required. Bring your own yoga mat or towel. Sessions are from 12:10-12:50 p.m. Mondays in Eppler South Gym through April 30 (except for Jan. 15 and March 5). Classes are sponsored by the BGSU Optimal Aging Institute.
Walking to Wellness provides indoor walking on the Eppler track from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays-Fridays.
